JVC MX-MD70

The MX-MD70 was a compact component stereo system from JVC from the year 1999. In Asia and Europe it was called the CA-MD70 or CA-MD70R. It features a single minidisc player/recorder with sampling rate converter and optical digital input. It also has a 3-CD changer with program play and random play. Sound adjustments include the usual preset EQ settings as well as "Active Bass Extension" and 3-mode "Live Surround". The included SP-MD70 speakers are 3-way units rated for 50 watts and 6 ohms, and include "Dual Cannon Duct" bass ports and "Super Sonic Diffuser" tweeters. According to the service manual, the output power is 35 watts per channel, minimum RMS, both channels driven, into 6 ohms at 1 kHz with no more than 0.9% total harmonic distortion.
